Ki Te Ara Whakamua: Pathways to Reducing Methamphetamine Harms was a call for change from 130 Māori experts in hauora and drug harm reduction regarding the challenges hapori Māori are experiencing with methamphetamine. This was held at Parliament on 26 July 2022.
Riana Manuel, Ngāti Pūkenga, Ngāti Maru, Ngāti Kahungungu – presented on Te Aka Whai Ora and how they are looking at new ways of doing things, including uplifting Te Tiriti o Waitangi relationships. Riana highlighted that health transformation is every one of our babies being well and that the leadership for this needs to come from whānau.
